Aerial View Update of New Security Screening Construction at Disneyland

The new security screening station at Disneyland is taking shape, with roofing added to the framed structure and continued progress on the updated esplanade.

Disneyland Esplanade Construction Update

In our last update, we reported on the framing for the new security screening station. Now, blue roofing has been installed. Several ladders and scissor lifts, along with numerous crew members, are actively working on the site. Tarps cover areas of cement being prepared, including a large rectangular excavation. Green tarps have been added to the fenced-off construction area since our last check-in. From our monorail view, minimal progress appears to have been made in this area. However, in the distance, mounds of dirt from excavation are visible.

This demolition is the initial step in building a new pedestrian bridge connecting the esplanade to a new parking structure and transportation hub.

The pedestrian bridge will link the esplanade to a new parking structure and transportation hub, replacing the current Manchester Cast Member parking lot. The project will provide approximately 6,000 parking spaces, 302 EV charging spaces, a dedicated area for shuttles and ridesharing, security, and access for traffic off Disney Way.
