Construction Accident
A car ended up stuck in a massive hole in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia on Saturday. A surveillance camera on that block captured the moment the driver continued past traffic cones and a warning sign before plunging into the hole near 21st and Laveer Streets, right next to Imhotep Charter High School.
Neighbors, like Nell Roby, highlight the long-standing construction signs at that intersection:
"People need to realize that when you see these areas being worked on, to take it serious," Roby said.
The airbags deployed, and the driver's side door was open when WPVI's Action News crews arrived on the scene. Authorities have not yet provided details on the incident or the driver's condition.
