Colony building MMO SEED adds construction skills, social events, and death by natural causes to seedlings - Massively Overpowered

A Major Update for SEED: The Colony Management MMO

To say that the latest major update to the early access colony management MMO SEED has a little bit of everything might be a bit reductive. After all, what other game adds more construction features for cities, new utilities, the ability for colonists to enjoy social gatherings, and the introduction of characters moving through life’s milestones including death from old age?

Much of what’s in this latest update is aimed at the “caretaker” sort of colony manager, according to developer Klang Games. This includes the arrival of new service areas to cities such as restaurants and bars (yum), a construction specialization for seedlings that significantly expands the style and features of buildings in cities, the ability to plan gatherings for colonists to enjoy and socialize, and the first wave of death from natural causes to the colonist characters that originally started in the game.

Other notable features of the patch include the arrival of power and power management, the opportunity to better monitor the major life milestones of a seedling with a Memoria UI window, an expansion of society tiers from six to 11, updated sky visuals and weather effects, and more step-by-step management of seedling roles, among many other things. It’s a pretty significant update to the game that might be worth a look.
