Morgan County, Utah (Gephardt Daily) — Backed-up traffic from construction has led to several crashes on Interstate 84 in Morgan County.
According to a Mountain Green Fire statement, "The new bridge is open and all traffic is being diverted to it in both directions over the next three days."
The most recent wreck occurred westbound on Wednesday evening.
"There have been other crashes, but not as serious," the statement said. "This one resulted in deployment of Mountain Green Fire Engine 131’s heavy rescue tools ('Jaws') and a life-threatening injury was transported by Morgan Fire & EMS and Ogden Paramedics."
The fire department advises drivers to use caution in both directions and to expect backups, especially in areas not previously affected by construction until at least 2028.
