Angels Camp, CA – Road Closure for Bridge Construction
Bridge construction on Dogtown Road will keep it closed until the end of the month for safety reasons. The road crosses over Indian Creek, where a bridge replacement project is taking place.
Calaveras County Public Works explains, "A full roadway closure is essential for the safety of both the public and construction workers, given the presence of heavy equipment and ongoing construction activities."
The existing bridge can accommodate local and emergency traffic, but expect possible lengthy delays. Crews are making progress and preparing the site for winterization. Despite significant advancements, the new bridge is not yet ready, and the closure will remain in effect until Monday, November 30, 2026.
