Construction Progress Ramping Up at Halsted Pointe’s First Tower
October 2026 - Construction progress at 931 North Halsted Street is accelerating, with Onni Group and McHugh Concrete working on the building’s lower levels. Ramps and concrete flows from McHugh’s pump rig crisscross the site.

Progress on Halsted Pointe’s first residential tower is making significant horizontal headway, as evidenced by the ongoing work on the lower levels. A $190 million permit allows construction to reach the top of the 46-story, 464-unit tower.
A tower crane for vertical progress was permitted in May, though we are still awaiting tie-in permits to raise it. Once installed, a hoist was permitted on June 10.
The podium will feature 200 parking spaces and approximately 19,000 square feet of retail space. From the east, the concrete work appears to be at grade level, but considering the slope of Halsted Street, the first two levels are Lower Level 2 and Lower Level 1.
