Driver Cited After Striking Traffic Flagger in Landgrove Construction Zone
Vermont State Police were notified of a crash on Hapgood Pond Road in Landgrove at approximately 12:30 p.m. Monday. An investigation revealed that Nicole Crossman, 52, of Londonderry, entered a construction zone and went around a traffic flagger who had signaled for her to stop. While in the construction zone, Crossman struck a separate traffic flagger, Luke Bartley, 28, of Poultney, when he attempted to stop her. Bartley suffered minor injuries. After the collision, Crossman left the scene. She was later located and cited for negligent operation and leaving the scene of an accident.
A civil violation complaint is pending. Crossman is scheduled to appear in Bennington County Criminal Court on December 7, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
