Highway 71 Construction From Turtle River to Tenstrike Now Complete

The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) announced today that construction on Highway 71 from Turtle River to Tenstrike is now finished.
During the project, which began in June and ended in early October, the contractor carried out:
- Pavement reconstruction
- Installation of a southbound bypass lane at Turtle River Lake Road
- Entrance culvert replacements
The contractor has completed final paving and is now installing striping and signage. While crews are still on-site, MnDOT officials are asking motorists to travel with care, slow down, and give them space.
