Operations and Estimating Leadership
With this appointment, Joseph Martinez will provide expanded executive oversight to Holt Construction's construction management and general contracting operations. His background spans preconstruction, construction services, and field operations.
In his new role, he will:
- Coordinate with project executives, project directors, estimating personnel, and corporate teams
- Maintain consistency throughout project planning, execution, and closeout
Project Controls and Preconstruction Oversight
Martinez will be responsible for:
- Maintaining operational standards across projects
- Supporting teams responsible for schedules, budgets, contracts, safety, quality, and risk
- Overseeing estimating, including budget development, bid-document reviews, and value engineering before construction begins
This integrated approach connects early-stage cost planning with field execution. For general contractors, coordination between estimating and operations can help project teams identify potential risks before work begins and ensure alignment between project budgets and delivery requirements.
Martinez holds a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering and a management certification from Cornell University.
