ITD to Begin Construction to Widen SH-44 in Star

ITD to begin construction this fall on State Highway 44 between State Highway 16 and Star Road. According to a recent news release, the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) will widen SH-44 to five lanes and improve pedestrian pathways on the south side. This project connects to the ongoing construction of the SH-16 and SH-44 interchange.
Initial construction activities will begin this month, with most work starting next spring. Construction is expected to be completed by late 2027.
