HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Two renovation projects are set to begin at McCully District Park, bringing temporary closures to its recreation building and swimming pool.
The Honolulu Department of Parks and Recreation announced that work on the recreation building will begin in November. The project includes upgrades to classrooms, flooring, room partitions, bathrooms, and roofing.
In the meantime, repairs to the deck surrounding the park’s 25-yard swimming pool are scheduled to begin in January 2027. The pool will also close during construction and is expected to reopen by February 2027, weather permitting.
That project includes a $48,000 contract awarded to Concrete Coatings Hawaii, with additional work performed by city maintenance crews.
