Oshkosh Road Construction Closures Oct. 5-9
Oshkosh drivers should expect road closures and lane restrictions during the week of Oct. 5-9.
Closed Roads:
- State 21: From Washburn Street west to the city of Omro (Wisconsin Department of Transportation project).
- Lake Shore Drive: Between Merritt and Washington avenues.
- East New York Avenue: Between Bowen and Evans streets.
Through Traffic Blocked:
- Fluor Court: From Bowen Street to the end of the cul-de-sac.
- Josslyn Street: From Witzel to Taft avenues.
- West Linwood Avenue: From Jackson to North Main streets.
- Ohio Street: From West South Park to West 17th avenues.
- Progress Drive: From West Fernau Avenue to the end of the cul-de-sac.
- Taft Avenue: From North Sawyer to Josslyn streets.
Lane Restrictions:
- West Third Avenue: From South Eagle to South Lark streets.
- West Sixth Avenue: From Ohio to Dakota streets.
- West 16th Avenue: From South Main to Doty streets.
- Bowen Street: From Washington to Merritt avenues.
- Cedar Street: From Congress to West New York avenues.
- Division Street: From West Irving to West Lincoln avenues.
- Frederick Street: From West Parkway to Ida avenues.
- Hazel Street: From Nevada to Murdock avenues.
- East Murdock Avenue: From Bowen to Doemel streets.
- Ohio and Wisconsin streets: From Witzel to Pearl avenues.
- Punhoqua Street: From Maple to Oshkosh avenues.
Other Construction:
Sidewalk paving will continue on West Fernau Avenue from Vinland to Jackson streets, with preparation for concrete intersection work following. Crews will also address sidewalk repairs and storm sewer lateral installations at various locations.
Planning Tips:
- Use alternate routes when possible.
- Expect conditions to change as work progresses.
- Access may vary near active work zones.
- Check 511 Wisconsin before traveling for updates on State 21 project and other state highway restrictions.
