Quincy construction CEO pleads not guilty to alleged assault at Nantucket ICE protest

Kennedy Pleads Not Guilty:
Kennedy pleaded not guilty in Nantucket District Court on Friday to charges stemming from an incident during an anti-ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) march in July. He faces a felony charge of assault and battery on a person over 60 and a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge.
Incident Details:
According to the police report, on July 25, Kennedy allegedly pushed a 69-year-old woman participating in a vigil walk, causing her to fall to the ground. The woman required assistance to get up and was later treated for her injuries.
"While walking on the sidewalk, Kennedy allegedly passed her and pushed her ‘with such force she fell to the ground,’ the report says."
Kennedy's Admission:
Police stated that Kennedy admitted to pushing someone during their encounter.
Judge John M. Julian scheduled a pretrial hearing for November 17.
