Two Stevens Point streets to close Monday for construction
STEVENS POINT — Drivers will need to find alternate routes around two Stevens Point intersections beginning Monday, Oct. 12, as crews tackle separate construction projects.
Briggs Street will close at Division Street while crews finish paving the intersection as part of the ongoing Business 51 Northside Reconstruction Project. The closure is expected to last through Friday, Oct. 16, with the intersection reopening by the end of the day.
Across town, Reserve Street will close at Maria Drive while crews repair underground utilities owned by the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
That closure will last longer, with the road expected to reopen on Friday, Oct. 30.
Both projects are weather-dependent, and city officials said construction schedules and traffic restrictions could change without advance notice.
