Weekly Road Construction Update - Oct. 18 to Oct. 24
Road Construction and Traffic Updates
Deschutes County Projects:
- Paving of La Pine Area Roadways: Crews will be working on several streets (3rd, 5th, 6th Street, Pengra Road, Dorrance Meadow Road, and Walker Road) in the La Pine area. Expect single-lane closures with flaggers and up to 20-minute delays during work hours (6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday).
- Asphalt Paving and Repair (Sisters Area): Walton Road will be paved. Anticipate single-lane closures with flaggers and up to 20-minute delays (7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday).
- La Pine Area Utility Work: Underground utility installations on 1st Street, 4th Street, Bonnie Lane, Coach Road, Morson Street, and William Foss Road. Expect single-lane closures, detours, and up to 20-minute delays (7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday). Weekend work on Coach Road and 1st Street near school property.
Other Agency Projects:
- Butler Market Road Utility Work: Installation of underground utilities on Butler Market Road between Hamby Road and Hamehook Road. Anticipate single-lane closures with flaggers and up to 20-minute delays.
- Hamby Road and Ward Road Utility Work: Crews will install utilities on Hamby Road and Ward Road. Expect similar traffic impacts as Butler Market Road project.
- U.S. 97: Terrebonne (Oregon Department of Transportation): Water and sewer utility work along Smith Rock Way. Minimal delays expected, but be cautious with new roundabout and roadway alignments.
- China Hat Road & FS Road 1815 Closure (US Forest Service): Both roads are closed at the USFS Boundary for forest restoration work. Access is closed until further notice.
