Weekly Road Construction Update - Oct. 4 to Oct. 10

Road Projects

  • Paving of La Pine Area Roadways (La Pine Area): Crews will be installing asphalt pavement on 3rd Street, 5th Street, Pengra Road, and Walker Road. They will also pave roadway approaches and work on shoulders on 6th Street and Dorrance Meadow Road.

    • Traffic Information: Anticipate single-lane closures with flaggers and up to 20-minute delays during work hours (6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday).
  • S Century Drive/Huntington Road Intersection Improvement (La Pine Area): Crews will install landscaping and seed the project area.

    • Traffic Information: Lane closures with flaggers and up to 20-minute delays on Oct. 5, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Asphalt Paving and Repair (Bend and Sisters Areas): Crews will pave Walton Road and Pinehurst Road.

    • Traffic Information: Single-lane closures with flaggers and up to 20-minute delays during work hours (7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday).

Projects Administered by Other Agencies

  • Hamby Road and Ward Road Utility Work: Crews will install underground utilities.

    • Traffic Information: Single-lane closures with flaggers and up to 20-minute delays during work hours (7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday).
  • La Pine Area Utility Work: Crews will install underground utilities on various streets.

    • Traffic Information: Single-lane closures with detours, flaggers, and up to 20-minute delays. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Weekend work on Coach Road and 1st Street will occur near school property.

U.S. 97: Terrebonne (Oregon Department of Transportation)

  • Crews will do landscaping and miscellaneous cleanup work along 11th Street, Smith Rock Way, and adjacent roadways.
    • Traffic Information: Lower Bridge Way and Smith Rock Way are open. Be cautious when navigating the new roundabout and roadway alignments.

China Hat Road & FS Road 1815 Closure (US Forest Service)

  • China Hat Road and Forest Service Road 1815 are closed at the USFS Boundary for forest restoration work.
    • Traffic Information: Roads are closed to all traffic at the end of County maintenance. Access is closed until further notice.
